2010 Rummage Sale:
August 7 at Coolwell Rec Center. Please call 946-2340 if you have gently used items to donate. This is our second biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your help!
2010 Splendid Raffle
March 13 at Prothro at Sweet Briar College. Our profit this year from the raffle was nearly $16,000. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year; thanks to all of our sponsors and volunteers for making this happen!
2010 Spay/neuter campaign. Every month we are taking a vanload of catsand dogs from the community and from our shelter to the South Central Spay-Neuter Clinic in Evington. Please call 946-2340 to schedule and appointment for your pet to be spayed or neutered. We are also in need of drivers to transport the animals on Thursday and Friday mornings.
2009 Rummage Sale:
August 1st at Coolwell Rec Center
Every year the HSAC holds at least one big sale,co-sponsored by the Amherst County Parks and Recreation. Items for sale are all donated, and range from furniture and appliances to art and antiques. This year we made $3175 at our sale, with a few large items still for sale. We made $155 with our "early bird" fees and one of our kitties, Danielle, was adopted. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and HSAC board members -- our sale takes alot of teamwork!
Memorial Brick Sales:
HSAC is now selling engraved bricks for the walkway at our building. Prices are $50 or $60 depending on the number of lines engraved. Please contact us for an order form; this is a perfect way to acknowledge someone, memorialize a loved one, or send a message that you support the HSAC!
