The Humane Society of Amherst County offers spay/neuter assistance to Amherst residents by working with the South Central Spay/Neuter Clinic. We make arrangements for your animals to be transported on the monthly spay/neuter van to the Evington Clinic and have their surgery at a reduced rate. We have some funds available to help Amherst County cat owners to spay and neuter their cats to reduce the numbers of unwanted kittens in the county. Please contact us for more information. Currently we do not have funds available to help with the cost of spaying and neutering dogs, but we are constantly working towards developing a new program for dogs, so please contact us if you need help.
